No your the one living in their own world, a little glance around the Internet and one can see mr perfect hits a number of the tropes and characteristics of being a Gary stu.
What personality does he have? Oh right generic nice guy 101 like any other sue out there he’s just a good person, if these dolls are anything to go by he probably has absurd athletic ability due to his hilarious abs despite the fact that all he does is play a guitar, he just looks perfect and ideal without having to do anything to take care of himself, impossibly cool car that only the perfect boy toy that he’s designed to be would own, also let’s not forget Meghan McCarthy infamously stated she designed Gary stu sentry around an old high school crush and Meghan seems to be getting some kind of wish fulfillment with twilight and him, and what do you know a typical sue trait (and badly written oc trait) is to inexplicably be the one twilight just finds dreamy despite having been around plenty of other handsome characters in the shows canon, nope its Gary stu sentry who’s “the one” despite having zero build up to him he just appears and instant “love”, second movie he was a dick the entire time and yet he’s instantly forgiven once the mind control goes away, he’s just “a cool dude” with little else to go off of.
He’s just designed to be Mr perfect and a love interest shoved in for god knows what reasons despite their statement that official shipping would never happen.
And you wonder why this douche bag draws so much hostility and creates so much drama.
So again give me a flaw with Mr perfect here.

Key difference this other characters aren’t inexplicably making members of the mane six get a crush on them merely from bumping into them, had sentry just remained some background character rather than shoved in as a forced as fuck “romance” he wouldn’t be getting this degree of hate and hostility.

Guess what every single male on the show is a generic nice guy aside from the what, two that were shown to be dickheado and were designed to be dickheads. This doesn’t give Gary stu sentry a free pass, he’s still shown with zero flaws and like every terrible oc out there is just Magically “the one” for a member of the mane 6 despite doing jack shit to tell why it works, why they would be good for them or spend time building up to it.
He’s a terrible boring flat flawless character hence why people such as myself refer to him as a Gary stu.
The fact that there’s nothing extraordinary about him is actually in direct rebuttal to the idea that he’s some flawless, idealized character. He’s seriously just an average Joe. He’s a nice guy, but don’t most of us try to be decent people? Why is everyone suddenly acting like that makes someone a “bad character”? It’s ridiculous.
Even the “single-purpose” argument isn’t that great. Most supporting characters are introduced in such a way.
Flash haters on average are so overly critical about him, it’s obvious to everyone else that a pretty strong prejudice is at work.
