As a trumpet player, I would have had to hurt somebody if we didn’t actually see the harmon mute in the bell of the instrument. It would have done a disservice to William Anderson’s fantastic underscore and trumpet solo.

I would call them cliches . I wonder how many people today have watched the movies where they come from.
