Actually, the Fury was already Named as such long before the accident that resulted in his severe 3rd degree burns he still had in MGS3, though I doubt it was because someone told him to Toy around with something…
 
Still, I don’t fancy seeing the pup ‘ere suffer a fate as bad as the Fury. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, which is why I actually sympethize with most of the Metal Gear bosses, due to horrible pasts that make them more Human, even if their actions say otherwise…

Well, how else might they become the true Fury if they don’t have reason to be enraged and spiteful before hand?
 
Apart from you know, being a Cosmonaut before they become The Fury.
