Hey fellow artists. (Newbie) artist here. I was wondering if you could help me with something.
At the moment, I only have two free drawing programs, GIMP and Inkscape. I’ve sort of gotten the hang of Inkscape, but I’ve barely even touched GIMP, TBH. And I want to know which program is best for which scenario.

- If I wanted to make a shaded drawing in the style of say, this: >>922297, which program would be better? And is it possible (but harder) to do it with the other program? (I realize that this particular drawing is rather advanced for my caliber, but I’d just like to know which one would be best for this style)
- What about a non-shaded cartoon like this? >>218321 (deleted) Again, is it possible to use both?
- I am in the process of making a comic series that is sort of in the style of the show, but a lot more simplistic. Which would be better for such a comic? (I would share a preview, but to me it looks like s**t, so I’m a little embarrassed.)
