well yeah FO3 would be “harder” do to quality of life things like doggy shooting and.  
FO4 with DLC lets you build enough warbot to populate literally ever town you own and better weapons over all.  
if your playing FO purely for challenge your doing it wrong.

I don’t understand why, if someone finds a way to cheese a game and make it ridiculously easy, they then feel like they’re forced to use this method.

Thhat’s dumb. I mean, if it’s a cheap boss or game, that’s one story, but if it just makes a normal boss/game easy, than there’s little point in using it if you don’t want to.
