I like and still use the dayskin. The only time I’ve used the dark theme for more than one day was during the drawing period for the 2018 Community Collab.

Firstly, thank you! It was based off of some I saw last year at competition. Secondly, 75 at the moment. I don’t really notice it, so this was a surprise to me. :P But yeah, I appreciate that I’m making people happy with my art.

Edit. Kinda reminds me of my drawings when I just started out. People were laughing their ass off looking at it and I felt very uncomfortable. Except they were just simple crooked portraits, no mammaries or anything like that.

Exactly. That’s one thing I like about the dark theme, easier to tell what image has a transparent background.

Got a bum rep today… My liscense key for Photoshop was revoked. Now I have to either get Creative Cloud, or find an alternative. Anyone know of a good one that reads all my psd files?

EDIT just checked and sai can indeed read psd files

Cancel the bum rep, I found an effective alternative for only 50 dollars!

to the digital artists in this forum do you prefer cel shading or blended shading and why? i’m trying to figure out how I want to shade my art

I think you should go with the one which you like the most. After all, it’s your art and doing with a technique that you enjoy might make you feel with more enthusiasm
 
Also both styles can look equally good but, if you want an opinion, if you are inexpert I recommend you to start with cell shaded, it’s easier to make because you don’t need to know a lot of how to properly blur the shadows, lighting direction, etc., which might be complicated. It also depends of what you intend to make anyway. Still, no matter which one you choose, practice makes the master.

Both are nice, cel shading is good for cartoonish/anime drawings but Blend is convenient for more realistic draws.  
I used to use blend shading but I ended dropping it because I don’t know any other way to draw it besides using gaussian blurr (which is said to be tacky)
