This is like, one of the biggest selling points of this entire concept. People have literally been waiting on the technology for decades to get to this point and innumerable man hours have been spent trying to create a substitute.
 
If Facebook were smart, they’d actually jump on this part. But no, it will be something on the part of modders.
 
If it makes it any better, Oculus is a company within Facebook now, apparently.

VR had potential; the key word is “had”, facebook is going to send it back to the stone ages.

I cannot even underestimate how important that is to its success. This is pretty much the entire reason why people wanted VR.
 
People have been bullshitting for decades with literally the exact same reasons Zuckerberg gave, but everyone knows what people want to and will use it for. And I don’t doubt that Zuckerberg knows as well.

I would’ve been happy enough to just get real video games in VR if porn games weren’t done, but chances are neither are going to happen for years now cause of some twat who thinks people want to use VR for experiencing being at their office at home and thinks that hardcore gaming is farmville.
 
The sad thing is now the closest thing we’ll ever see to either is farmville in the oculus rift.

And John Carmack is apparently working with them.
