@WyrmSpawN
sometimes a god doesn’t to be the god of something, my favorite example is Tulkas, from JJR Tolkien books, unlike the other vala (gods) he doesn’t have a “job” he just came to the word to, literally, punch the bad guy in the face
I just saw someone claim that The Godfather part 2 didn’t romanticise crime like The Godfather Part 1 did and I’m like what?
I argue Part 2 was worse in this aspect with the whole Don Vito plotline and showing him to be a community figure and such.
Part 1’s ending feels like it’s the natural progression of crime itself and how Michael fell into it while Part 2’s felt like it was just Michael’s fault the whole time
You know Youtubers that does skits on their own / with a group of friends, where they either play characters that may or may not be a recurring character from one skit to the other, or heck they may even play as a fictional version of themselves?
I mean Carnage has been in plenty of things meant for a younger audience.
But yeah probably should have saw this coming when Woody Harrelson portrayed Cletus as Hannibal Lecter knockoff. Carnage just isn’t done “right” unless he’s basically the villain in a slasher movie.
I mean, Eddie was In Name Only too in the first film. It’s just that Tom Hardy made it work. Also Venom was spot on and made it work.
So yeah, Woody is a good actor and a Hannibal-esque Cletus has the chance to be more entertaining than a Cletus-esque Cletus. But until he proves the critics wrong I’m looking at the portrayal with skepticism.
Btw Squid Game’s third clause: Game may be terminated if majority of players agrees is fucking GENIUS omg. THIS ONE THING, separates it from many of the popular “deadly games show” genre that asians love to write about.
