I’m a furry because of Digimon. Or at least,Gatomon and Renamon were my first furry crushes. Although I REALLY liked Fifi Le Fume alot when I was little,but I didn’t know why.

I cannot get over how the characters look in Biker Mice from Mars.
 
Why are their heads so small? Why are their abs so well defined?

Do you know something I hate? When people say a reboot/remake/adaptation “ruined” a franchise.
 
The source material still exists, the original is still there. If you are of the mind that a bad remake “ruins” the orginal for you, to the point where you no longer like it, then you probably didn’t really like it much to begin with. You liked the “idea” of it, and the nostalgia of it.

Even when the events of a sequel nullify the events of the original, or make certain things seem less important, or ruins the characters of the original?
 
I guess what I’m trying to ask is, are there any exceptions to this?

I have seen at least two instances where something is ruined because it was tampered with. The Star Wars Special Editions and the 2010 MMPR Reversion. They weren’t remakes, but in Star Wars’ case they’ve hindered the originals from getting released.

No, because it is still easy to disregard those things. At least in the case of reboots and remakes. Because they are completely separate entities, even if the reboot is just a soft one.
 
Now, a direct continuation, following the original from where it left off. That I can kind of understand, since a bad ending can ruin a story. But even then, you can still disregard it, and the quality of the original does not change.

I’d love if they made a sequel to Beast Wars and ignore Beast Machines. Dragonball Super showed a sequel series could ignore previous sequel series and still be successful.

Dragon Ball GT is a good example of a canon that I safely disregarded as existing, even before Super. As far as I was concerned, Z ender at Buu.
