Nah, that won’t solve anything. But it’s really hard not to wish something like that when you get really pissed off, even if you know it isn’t the right thing to do.
 
That exchange I had with Whatevs earlier? That actually made me legit angry. Like, I actually had to make a concerted effort to not completely lose my shit from what he was saying. (Not that I necessarily hold anything against him personally, but he’s said a lot of things that I disagree with very strongly, to put it mildly.)

Look I’m against her but I’m more for the truth, and what I want more then anything is for all these many allegations to be verified beyond a shadow of doubt like the fake copyright strike.
 
PAX is what I’m worried about, Zoe and co are going to have presence there and I’m worried some of the more upset people about this might do something really fucking stupid. Or worse some of the typical jackasses do something or SHE plants someone to do it so she can legitimatize the media in it’s portrayals of anyone upset about this as a bunch of women hating scrum.

Honestly, I really can’t believe that this debate is still going on.
 
Now, I’ll admit that I haven’t really been keeping track of this whole affair, but it seems fairly basic: Game developer attempts to use sex as a bribe in order to get a good game review from a review website. Said developer gets found out. And all of her crying and screaming about sexism is not going to change the fact that she is still ultimately guilty of dishonest business practices (and from what I understand, her attempts to suppress this information now constitutes a felony).
 
She was being a shithead. And then she got caught being a shithead. Seems like an open and shut case.

True in her case it’s basic all been said, but the meat of this debacle is not just Zoe’s practice, but everything connected to it. The 5 guys involvement, Phil fish frying, sites like Kotaku and “Rock, Paper, Shotgun” who are trying to sweep it under the rug (not to mention social media users doing the same mainly due to them not researching), and most recently 4chan’s efforts to not only purge this kind of “cancer”, but to also support the cemo but supporting TFYC’s game jam.
 
Who knows what might be dug up next.

Agreed with CHS, while she is still being discussed as she ties in to nearly everything, the heart is that several people in power in the gaming media and sites that were once considered free like Reddit are either outright suppressing or censoring the information, going so far as ban spree’s on users for simply speaking with people from 4chan for god’s sake.
 
You have men like the head honcho of Kotaku CONFIRMING that she slept around with Greyson and yet declaring it a total non factor and saying it’s no breech of ethics what so ever, and the jackass running Rock Paper Shotgun calling ANYONE who questions this Zoe Quinn thing as a bunch of hypocritical women haters.
 
Movie bob at the escpaist went on atwitter rampage calling anyone who spoke up a bunch on insects who needed to be crushed.
 
Tell me mate that you’re fine with news casters and media personalities saying these things to their public? Christ al fucking mighty even Fox News dosn’t use this kinda fucking language and everyone sane can agree they are shit tier at news.

Sorry for the double post but I hope you get through, distasteful as it is anyone going to protest needs to understand we CANNOT name call or say snarky shit, we HAVE to be peaceful and mature about it and show who’s side is exactly in the right here, if something goes down at PAX there’s a odd chance REAL media might pick it up and if it gets real world consequences like Gawker and the like losing stock prices we might actually get some of these jackasses outta here.
 
Hell we might even have to actively protect her from her own plants or the random trolls just so we can show that people who are mad about this entire deal won’t sink to their level when it comes down to the wire, this is a war of hearts and minds and we won’t win it by showing everyone the expected 4channer response, we have the information and showing that it’s solid and truthful enough we don’t need to resort to angry child like stomping like the opposition.

No matter how well and orderly the protests are planned, there will be some “scandal”, even if the SJW have to make it up. After all, these are the same breed of people who blatantly lied and continue to perpetuate myths about stalkings, misogyny, and harassment at pony conventions; if they’d do this to a fandom that is relatively small in comparison (to gaming), they sure as heck wouldn’t pass on any tactic to further their agenda and discredit Quinn and Gaming “Journalisms” critics.

So yeah; apparently Quinn’s supporters have all but gone any level of civility and metaphorically took the gloves off and are now spewing racially charged language, death threats and the sort trying to derail the subject away from the problem about journalistic integrity there currently is in the industry.

Accuses video gamers of being sexist; uses charged hate language to try to derail the discussion.
 
While this isn’t all that new if you see one of her supporters using death threats to try to derail the discussion report them; it doesn’t matter if it’s derpibooru or even the big name sites or what have you if you see one of them going around issuing death threats to try to derail the discussion report them because I’m fairly sure most websites have rules against issuing death threats.

It’s almost sickening the double standards at play, gaming media has unleashed the slavering mutated hordes of SJW before again and again and now sacrifice any pretense of ethical integrity so as to do so again in the hopes said horde doesn’t turn it’s poison jaws on them.

You are sadly right but anyone going to PAX needs to do their part as best they can, I hope the protests get honestly organized and ran so as to show the serious nature of it. I’ll admit that tempers will be high and so will passions, frankly if I was going and ran into Adam Sessler it’d take everything I had not to spit at his feet in disgust, all his words and talk of being honest turned out to be so much horseshit in the end…

Yes, thank you. If there’s one thing that pisses me off about this, it’s when people blatantly ignore the trolls who only serve to make any legitimate arguments less credible.
 
I know it’s just a small minority of individuals who are the problem, but we can’t afford to silently condone them if we want there to ever be a chance of any legitimate grievance to be heard. Sometimes a few bad apples really is all that it takes to spoil the bunch. Open and honest dialogue has no chance of happening until it’s made absolutely clear that they do not speak for the rest of us.
 
I mean, fuck, even MundaneMatt of all people has said that these folks are not helping. When I find myself agreeing with someone I find generally detestable as him, then I think that there isn’t much that can be contested.

To those in the know it really feels like the gaming world as we know it is being flipped upside down a bit, old grudge’s and battles are making way to have 4chan of all places dump a ton of money into a pro female game developer program and they ain’t even doing it to be ironic, they are honestly trying to do something positive in this whole situation.
 
And yeah, we can’t ignore the small minority in this, cyberspace is going to happen no stopping that, but real life is real life and folks gotta understand different rules apply.

I think the reason why Quinn’s supporters are so pissed right now is that they accused of 4chan of being a “cathedral of misogyny” but 4chan turned around and unironically gave over ten thousand dollars to women in the video game industry thus instantly invalidating anything they had to say.
