The console versions of 4 Episode I have different second Acts for Casino Street and Lost Labyrinth. They replaced the pinball and minecart acts that got used in the mobile versions because people complained about them being too gimmicky.

Oh yeah, I started replaying Colors yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve even touched the game since I first beat it about 5 years ago.
 
It still holds up pretty well.

Colors was the beginning of lackluster non-story and Tails being reduced to a useless idiot. ¬_¬

I mean, aside from how he translated the Wisp speech so that they knew what to do (which he points out at the end of the game).

Cutscene power. Ever since that game, his role has gotten lesser and lesser to the point where in Forces, Tails is nothing without a Sonic, can’t fend for himself at all, never actually does anything in the gameplay.

Also worth noting that part of that was the result of mistranslations.

He gets sad that Classic Sonic has to leave. So…not really.

Personally I’m more annoyed at how they retconned the current Classic Sonic as being from another dimension.

I don’t like that either. Progression of time makes too much sense, I suppose.
 
Also why is he mute? He said like four words total in Sonic CD, he had sentences of text in Sonic 3D, he said a hell of a lot in the OVA, all three of which are just Japanese Classic canon alone, and I know there’s more from that side, and a shitton from the Western side. So what’s with the quiet? Classic Tails isn’t quiet in Generations.
 
I guess two Sonic’s talking would just be too annoying.

Also, for the record, I agree with you on Generations’ story being crap even though I like the gameplay and playing through the reimagined old levels.

I had more fun with re-imagined levels in Mania, tho I’m still not super fond of it there, it just felt fresher, and I appreciated the artwork, and the gameplay more.

If the movie does actually end up doing well with critics how much do you want it that the critics will be accused of being paid off?

I actually kinda enjoyed the minecart actually, and you can disable motion controls if you wish.  
Never much liked how gamers hate everything “gimmicky.” If it wasn’t for some old gimmicky games, we wouldn’t have the games we have today.

To be fair, the earlier games hardly had any story, and Sonic Heroes had a more simple story too, and I still enjoyed it.

Granted, they had minor swears in Sonic games before. Aside from the Shadow game, Amy Rose says “Oh my God!” in Sonic Heroes.

No, not really. After the synopsis was leaked, most of the fan responses I’ve seen to this movie have been pretty pessimistic.

Honestly, I thought the synopsis for the Sonic movie ended up making sound like dumb, “so bad it’s good” fun.

Tails : It sure is! Though, what do we do with the fishes once we catch them?

Robotnik : I’ve got them in my sights, Crabby my loyal crabhat!  
Crabmeat : This will be like shootin’ fish in a barrel!

Crabmeat : Uhhh… What was your password again? I want to download this classic Sega game from Steam.

Tails is a kid. A very bright, very brave kid, but still a kid. It’s only natural he’d have such difficulty dealing with the horrors of war. Especially since their battles with Eggman had never gotten so bad before, since they usually beat him BEFORE he conquered the world.
