One of the few Order 66 victims that truly deserved it.

A good 70% of the Council deserved a blaster to the head.

It seems pretty obvious that every few thousand years you just have to do some spring cleaning at the top of the jedi pole.

Not helped by the fact that the Republic kinda dug its own grave. What kind of democratic system of government gives the Trade Federation its own seat in the Senate? It’s like giving Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros., Sony, Fox, Universal and Paramount seats in the Federal Communications Commission.

Yeah I loved when the Trade Federation pops up in the Senate like yeah give the megacorps there’s nothing that could go wrong with that and then you delve into the EU where they kept voting client plants membership who I’m sure will be totally unbiased voting on anything that effects guys who could starve their worlds if they piss them off.

The Republic was dead long, long before Sidious popped up. They had spent thousands of years slowly dying of corruption.

This is everyone’s daily reminder that if not for the involvement of the Sith and the Megacorps, the CIS would have been 100% on the right side of history.

The Republic exploited and trashed the Rim worlds for long before the rise of the Sith Grand Plan. Turned a blind eye while corporations, pirates, and slavers ran rampant. Slowly doubled down on the human-centric bend the Republic started with. Coopted the Jedi order as basically the republics church militant, corrupting the order and helping lead to its ruination. And general ran the galaxy in an ineffective, inefficient, corrupt barron lord.

In another universe, where Dooku did not fall to the darkside, and the corps were kept on a leash, the CIS could have been a legitimate force for good to tear down the broken Republic and create a better, more fair system. Or at least would have been allowed to cecede and chart their own course.

The Sith the Rule of Two that is didn’t create the problems they just took advantage of what was already happening.
The Jedi blinded themselves to problems with the Republic and the Galaxy the Sith at least did do something about those problems it’s just that it was to exploit it for their own benefit.

So people are saying Star Wars Outlaws is going to be shit simply because the lead is neither male nor white. That’s very dumb at best.

Well I wish this Outcast game the best of luck it’s the first I’ve heard it.
Personally I’m more concerned with Star Wars Outlaws cause it’s a Ubisoft game so that makes me kinda weary but I’m trying to be cautiously optimistic.

I meant Outlaw and did a goof. And yeah, it being Ubisoft is my concern (and why I’m waiting for reviews from people before even considering buying it).

Of all the Jedi Council members, Yoda, Kenobi and Koon were the only members I had any affection for.

Tellingly, the former two survived Order 66; Koon was just extremely unlucky (when you’re in a speeding starfighter being fired upon by your own men, and were totally caught off guard by it, there’s not much you can do).

Fun fact: Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn’t originally supposed to die in A New Hope, but Alec Guinness hated working on the film so much he asked Lucas to kill him off so that he wouldn’t appear in any sequels should they emerge.

We all know how that worked out…..

Same deal with Harrison Ford and Empire Strikes Back

He was only hired for the first 2 movies and didn’t know if he was gonna return for the 3rd one or not, so him being frozen in carbonite was written in to make his fate ambiguous, should he not return to the franchise

Got to love it when you see a thumbnail saying Star Wars is saved with includes a scantily clad twi’lek in it, because that was what Star Wars was missing.

John Boyega talked about Star Wars in an interview recently and a bunch of weirdos got ticked when he said Last Jedi was the weakest film in the sequel trilogy.
Personally I’d say Rise was the weakest but I can totally understand his point of view here. Karking space horses.
