I kinda agree too, though I don’t think they should restrict what kind of games kids can play. Parents should do research, and decide for themselves what games are appropriate for their family. Some family friendly games like Smash Bros., and The Incredibles were rated “T” before. (Which is why the E-10 rating was made.)
Heck, as a kid my parents (whom BTW are very christian people) were fine with me & my sister watching PG & PG-13 movies, and even some R-rated ones like Terminator 2, and we were fine as kids, and not violent.
Though, oddly much like the G-rating dying off for all “family friendly” material being PG nowadays, it seems like the ESRB E-rating is dying off for E-10, so some lower ratings hardly even mean anything anymore.
