Am I missing something? I think riding and fighting on a baby Rathalos and other monsters is great spin-off idea, but the MH is split down the middle about it and we haven’t even seen gameplay yet.

Either that or the fact that mainline monster hunter does a lot to subvert traditional RPG tropes and this game will probably abide by them

Eh, Killing Floor’s not really an achievement in game engineering, it’s pretty much a wave-based monster slaughterfest. It just does it so fucking well that it’s one of the most fun games I ever played in my life.

I really enjoy how shulk’s play style relies so much on reyn.  
It’s a good way of expressing their friendship with gameplay mechanics.

Animal Crossing Wii U would work so well
 
I mean you could have the Gamepad be the menu so you don’t have to switch back and forth

Yeah, Shulk’s glass cannon and Reyn is an aggro magnet, works so well.  
Though the ether character you’ll meet later in the game is my favorite game play wise and the last character is my favorite concept wise.

I really appreciate it when a character is very clearly meant for one particular purpose and it’s super fun to fulfill said purpose.  
And is the ether character sharla? Because I reeeeally like having her around
 
Also I wish I had known the setting of this game when it first came out a game that takes place on GIANT ASS TITANS? I would have bought it based purely on how cool that is.

No, 2 characters after Sharla. She’s great now, but she gets left behind in usefulness around half-way through. She’s not bad, just inefficient when AI controlled during late game. Her and the ether character have weird AI, but the ether character is very powerful and supportive.
