Animated tag spoiler

Why is the animated tag spoiler (Cheerilee) animated? I spoiler GIFs because they’re animated and now the spoiler image is animated too? Is there any way to change this without disabling GIF animation in the web browser?

Well, that spoiler image is one of many that is simply a joke. We have a spoiler image for seizure warning and vibrating, which are the main reasons people would take issue with animated images, and the animated spoiler itself, while indeed animated itself, is a whopping 41Kb and should not be an issue for bandwidth purposes, the only other reason I can imagine to spoiler animated.

I guess I’m just really distracted by moving images. Every time I see one on the screen, I can’t focus on anything else. I’m making a script to fix it though.

Isn’t there (or didn’t there used to be) an option somewhere in Settings to show only one frame from animated thumbs (instead of an animated gif)?  
I… can’t find it atm, and I might also be confusing it with other things now.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just hide animated images then if they distract you so much? That way there’s no distracting spoiler tag either.

I guess he still wants to see that they’re there, just not have them on the gallery page. I spoiler a bunch of things on my user account for casual browsing that I don’t want in my face, but do still want to know exist and I may still click and see.

There is in the web browser settings, but I couldn’t find it in Derpibooru settings. I don’t want to disable GIFs completely, just the Cheerilee spoiler GIF.

I added the feature on my forked B.O.R.E.D. project, so if anyone wants this functionality, it’s there.
