how about a Text Edit tag?

how about an overall site one? y’know, to encourage tagging.

Not really sure how we’d display that or what it’d accomplish, though.

The tagging is already displayed as Metadata Updates there. But I think there is more meta than just the tag changes.  
I think he means a page where you can see the latest tag changes, like there is for comments.

I wish that we get a more secure type of, textspoilers that at least are able to cover up embedded links.
 
I could suggest another type of spoiler hider that requires the viewer to click on it to view. Like the ones used in VBulletin type forums.

There’s no reason not to have a ‘text edit’ tag. This thread is more about bugs and features than tagging.

Click-to-display-thumbnail is a thing we have planned, though more as a global settings than for certain tags.

I was wondering, is Derpibooru going to stream or link to streams of the show when season 4 is broadcast?

If someone gives us a Livestream channel that will show it, it’ll be added to the monitor.
 
Otherwise no, not really. While we have more than enough bandwidth to actually stream the episodes, the staff that has the equipment and know-how to set up a “proper” stream is in Europe or just doesn’t have the Hub.

A thing i wanted to ask for a while is the good ’ol + that we had on the side of each tag on a image to quickly add them to watched

The site derped a bit for me earlier, which happens to be when the premier ended. Are they related somehow?

Yes. We had a minor misconfiguration which lead to our application servers refusing to service new connections - rather than being overloaded we were underloaded. We fixed the configuration issue and restarted the app servers and it’s been solid since. Sorry about that!

Suggestion: Some way to filter all images posted less than <t> minutes ago.
 
Since newly uploaded images are often badly tagged, it would provide an extra layer of security for people who really want to avoid spoilers or other content they find distasteful. If you can’t implement a system which supports arbitrary values of <t>, then something between 5 and 20 minutes would probably be a good default.

We found caught two instances of people abusing the system to upload a bad image, wait for it to accumulate downvotes and comment hate, then have someone else report it as a dupe of a good image, and accept the merger. The hassle (and drama) of fixing these things is greater than the hassle of having only staff manage dupes.

The spoiler guidelines page needs to be updated in line with the addendum posted on the blog.
 
Secondly, the news blog should probably not be the primary source of documentation for the site because it is hard to go digging through it for rulings. Please could the footer links be the canonical source, and kept updated a little more than they are at present?
