Well geez this is a tough one, there were so many good episodes this season.  
The Cutie Re-Mark was a totally epic season finale  
Crusaders of the Lost Mark was great just for the fact that we finally got to see the CMC get their marks  
Slice of Life was pretty much Fan Service: The Episode  
Hearthbreakers was great just to see Pinkie’s family and all it’s greatness  
The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows just for the abundance of Pinkie Pie faces  
and Scare Master for just being another great halloween special.

I agree, season 5 had enough good episodes to make it hard for fans to choose.

For me, it’s a tie between Slice of Life and Rarity Investigates.
