How do we search for "night light", the object?

Not Twlight’s dad, the thing you plug into the wall and it emits light. Do we have a tag for that?

Tag searching is TOO HARD.

I would imagine ‘nightlight’ to be the next natural step after trying ‘night light’.

We could always add a description to night light’s tag pointing towards nightlight if we’re all that concerned about people not being able to find it.

I think that would be the logical solution, yes. Lots of other tags that could be confused with other things do that. Lots of ponies with names that are normally just everyday objects.

Well Twilight’s Dad was fanon named after the G1 pony Nightlight, but w/e.

Wikipedia calls it a Nightlight, so I don’t see why you want spaces, other than to make it more confusing. :L

That could be arbitrary; according to this, there is no one “right” way to write it.

Well yeah, but if the largely established ‘Night Light’ already refers to the pony, why complicate matters by making the object spelled that way too? If it can be formatted two ways, why not give the object the tag name that 1.Already exists, and 2.Has no parenthesis if we can help it?

Keep the tags as they are, including nightlight, but maybe add “(object)” to it. Or at the very least, my request would be for others thinking like me, and go with ZONESS’s suggestion to add a note to Night Light saying “for the object, see ‘nightlight’”.
