I always just considered Ado and Adeleine the same. They also seem based off of the boss Paint Roller from “Kirby’s Adventure.”

I remember seeing early pre-release screenshots of Kirby 64 that showed Adeleine was going to be playable originally. I wouldn’t mind her coming back personally. (Unlikely, as the current Kirby team, weren’t involved in Kirby 64. It’s about as likely as Wario appearing in a main canon Mario game, or one of the Mario RPGs.)

Well, they did bring back Dark Matter’s swordsman form (well, a clone of it, but close enough) as a surprise boss in Planet Robobot… So who knows?

Spoilers, dude! Still, that’s cool to hear.

@Dirty Bit
Who knows? I played the demo of it, and it’s quite good. The graphics also look as great as the Wii game “Return to Dreamland.”

I’ve heard it’s super tough unless you have friends.

Come to think of it, according to the internet you and I are now officially best friends because we argue constantly…

We don’t argue that much, do we? lol

Kirby games in general are usually pretty easy. It’s usually getting 100%, getting the hidden final boss unlocked, or beating the bonus modes, or boss rushes that are hard. That’s part of the appeal of them.
I remember the first Kirby’s Dreamland, once you beat it, you get a cheat code to unlock a harder extra mode. Which was a nice reward.

So far, the only time I’ve ever reached 100% in either Kirby game was in:

  1. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
  2. Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (GBA)
  3. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (GBA)
  4. Kirby Squeak Squad (DS)

@Marx
The last two I just can’t do.

Triple Deluxe’s fucking “Dedede Drum Dash”.

And Planet Robobot’s “True Arena”. Especially with that goddamned motherfucking shiteating Star Dream.

The Kirby games I’ve managed to 100% clear are:

Adventure (NES)
64 (N64)
Nightmare in Dream Land (GBA; this one only happened very recently, actually)
Amazing Mirror (GBA)
Squeak Squad (DS)
Super Star Ultra (DS)
Return to Dream Land (Wii; this one’s only a technicality since I cleared 100% of both Normal Mode and Extra Mode as well as the regular Arena, but I still have yet to beat the game’s True Arena)
Triple Deluxe (3DS)

Strangely, the Hammer’s Hammer Flip move seems to have a much shorter range in the original Super Star compared to Super Star Ultra, so I’ve yet to beat The Arena in the original Super Star. And for Dream Land 3, the most I’ve gotten is 97%, since I never beat the Boss Butch, the “Jumping” minigame, or the “Super NES MG5” mini-game rush mode.

Actually, I gotta confess…I only managed to get 100% in “Nightmare in Dream Land” and “Amazing Mirror” using GameShark…

To be fair, I didn’t have good enough gaming experience when I was younger, hence my preference for infinite health or being able to levitate. The only game that was excluded from this rule at a young age (primarily because the game didn’t work on my cartridge) was “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask”.

Funny thing is, “Majora’s Mask” is actually a harder game then Kirby.

In fact, the first Kirby game was designed to be a game anyone could beat.
Admittedly, I used to have trouble with King Dedede in that one when I was little. His attacks were a bit hard to predict at first, he had high HP, and it took me awhile to figure out how you were supposed to damage him with stars. (This was before Kirby had copy powers.)

I remember the hype built up for the “FoxBox” in 2002, with (at the time) my personal favorite “Kirby: Right Back At Ya!” being one of the shows on the lineup.

I liked that show sometimes, though, much like Chris Thorndyke from “Sonic X,” the character Tiff (despite being kinda cute) kinda got on my nerves being the centeral focus of the show. (Due to them trying to keep Kirby a semi-silent protagonist like the games) She also acted like a smug know-it-all most of the time, or having to tell Kirby what to do, (like he’s a Pokémon) and “the monster of the week” plots were basically most of the show’s stories. (Though, sometimes they would do something clever like the “Harry Potter” parody ep’, or the ep’ when that giant astroid was threatening Dreamland.)

I did like how the TV series & the game “Nightmare in Dreamland” helped bring back Meta Knight, (whom disapeared after 1996’s “Kirby’s Super Star”) and he got to become a recurring character after that. It was also cool that the final boss of “Kirby’s Adventure” (my favorite one) the Cloaked Nightmare was the main villain.

I also liked the F-Zero anime despite changing some of the characters’ personalities, and focusing too much on new character Rick Wheeler. (Seems to be a pattern with anime adaptations of games.) We would’ve gotten to see more of Captain Falcon if the “F-Zero” anime lasted.
