Super Gaming Bros are doing a Luigi Galaxy run.

It’s interesting how DK is the only spinoff character who hasn’t made an appearance in a main Mario game. Of course, I am referring to the games like Super Mario 64.

It would interesting though to see DK show up in the next main Mario game, even if it is just as a cameo or as a NPC.

It’s especially ironic considering how many Donkey Kong references New Donk City has in Super Mario Odyssey…

Depends on what you consider a spioff. (Like for example the 1994 “Gameboy Donkey Kong” which starred Mario.)  
When you think about it, the Super Mario Brothers series actually spun-off from the “Donkey Kong” arcade games originally.

Agreed, if Pauline can be in, I don’t know why characters like DK, Wario, ect. aren’t allowed in Mario games, not even in the RPGs.
 
Toadette did cameo in “Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door” though, and she’s getting a full playable appearance in the upcoming “New SMB U Deluxe.” So now she’s more “canon” then DK & Wario are.

Well, Wario has actually made two appearances in the main mario games. The first is his debut in 6 Golden coins as the final boss and his second is in the DS remake of Super Mario 64 as a playable character.

I’m aware of that, though some fans consider the Gameboy “Super Mario Land” games as a different canon, or series, especially ‘cause they weren’t made by Miyamoto, Tezua, and the rest of the usual Mario team. In fact, that’s actually why they created Wario, as a parody of their awkward situation of making a Mario game, and feeling like they just made an odd copy of him as a result.
 
“Super Mario 64 DS” game is the only Miyamoto game to regard Wario, but supposedly he does like the Wario character, and Waluigi.
 
Though, Miyamoto still regards DK, seeing as he made the Gameboy DK game, helped with the DK Country series, (despite false rumors, claiming he “hated” that series) and such.

I think Lugi remains the only character who has actually seen a Shy guy’s face. Not even the players have seen what they really look like.

Well, in Luigi’s Mansion, the ghost version of Shy Guys simply have two beady, glowing eyes behind their mask.
 
Also, often their masks can make facial expressions, so maybe their masks ARE their faces.

Technically, they aren’t Shy Guys, and wear different masks, but their sounds, and body designs are quite similar. They even have spears like Spear Guys, or Beezos/Fly Guys.

Well, they’re still called Shy Guys, and I don’t think this is one of those cases where they have a different name in the Japanese version distinguishing them from the regular ones as a sub-species.

Where were they called Shy Guys? (And keep in mind Wikis are still fan-made and not 100% official.) There’s no in-game descriptions for them, unless they added them in the 3DS remake.

Probably the Player’s Guide, yes.

I think Chuggaaconroy is intentionally choosing to skip using the Burt the Bashful colors for Yoshi in Woolly world.

I hope that the new Mario movie actually keeps the characters the same as they are in the games instead of going for a lazy 3D design like the sonic and detective pikachu movies want to do.

Given that it’s animated and Nintendo’s heavily involved with it, I’m sure we should be fine on that front.
 
(Also, Detective Pikachu looks fine)

They could have easily just kept the pokemon the way that they look in the games instead of going for that weird design choice.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is still my favorite Mario game. Next November it turns 10.

I actually still have it, (hard to believe it’s that old) and while not my favorite, it’s still fun with family/friends. I look forward to the Switch remake of NewSMBU/LuigiU, seeing as I missec that game on WiiU. (And MK8)
 
Some bash the Switch remakes, but I’m thankful for them.

Honestly, they look fine to me, and look more like their original Pokémon designs to me, just fuzzier/scalier, and such. I don’t see what’s wrong with them.  
Charizard looks badass, disagree all you want.

It must be tricky trying to tell if there are any red coins in a line of regular coins in a yoshi game. The same goes for the patches and beads in Yoshi’s woolly world.
