TBH I don’t mind the tron lines so much as the odd proportions (or at least the way the promo image makes them look odd) and that weird face.

Agreed.
 
But all I see is people calling it the worst and only talking of the Tron look, or people not hating it but pointing out problems like proportions and/or face and not bothered by the Tron look.
 
This is why I keep thinking hating Tron is becoming a thing.

For what it’s worth though my Dad and I were severely disappointed in TRON: Legacy to the point that we were practically spending the ride home from the theater writing our own “better” version, so a recent trend of disliking TRON wouldn’t be too strange.

Yes, in-between the original and Legacy, so that makes it a sequel to the original as well.  
And the airings where odd, it would switch from being show very little(like only when a new premiered and not at all for the rest of the week) then one week show a few episodes, then back to nothing but the one that is premiering, the a half-assed marathon(not in any kind of order and less then 1/3, it only 19 in all) before it ended.

No, it’s fucking terrible, it doesn’t fit Mega Man at all, and it looks gaudy as all hell.
 
And Tron looks good. The original Tron. Tron Legacy looks so boring it makes me want to sleep just by looking at it.

I’m sick of this idea that just saying something is bad and never giving a reason the “it looks bad” makes it so.  
If it look bad the tell how it fucking looks bad.

Let the man have his opinion. You going “No fuck no, it does no look that bad.” is also an opinion and no reason to deny others theirs.

It looks dull with too many dark colors that do not fit Mega Man’s aesthetic, it looks generic as all hell, not something that’d pop on first glance, the anatomy’s blood atrocious, it lacks any eye-catching motifs or details, and the design does not fit a Super Fighting Robot, it looks like a bad redesign of Megaman.exe.
 
So, am I allowed to have my opinion on it, or “agree to disagree” only counts when you want it to?

Look, it’s not the worst as it’s not a pure bitch slap to the face of fans.  
I’m not saying there isn’t problems with it, but this damn idea that it’s the worst is wrong because we have THIS bullshit.

You can call the “TRON reject” look bad as long as you want, but you are bullshitting me if you are saying it’s somehow worse then Street Fighter X Tekken’s Bad Box Art Mega Man.

Speaking as someone who saw it in theaters, Tron Legacy was… okay. Most of it was just “Hey, look what we can do with CGI effects now compared to 30 years ago!” and there are a couple plot points that go nowhere. And the ending is really confusing.

Oh and let’s not forget the canceled FPS game “Maverick Hunter”, where X in that looked like they took an Iron Man suit, painted all one shade of blue and then removed any of it’s iconic designs parts, and gave it a visor that become a rather small X shape.
 
 
You want to talk somthing that doesn’t fit Mega Man’s aesthetic and it looks generic as all hell, that is it.  
I never would of know it was meant to be a Mega Man game if it wasn’t pointed out to me as it looks so bland.
 
The sides of the helmet and the forehead having the red spots is the only thing like the regular X look.  
The new cartoon design I can at lest tell it’s trying to be Mega Man.

It was going to be a darker Mega Man X game themed around a new X designed by Adi Granov. It was confirmed to be a re-imagining of Mega Man X, where the main character is X, but has a human police officer as a sidekick. It was also confirmed that a trilogy was planned, and by the third game in its series, Zero would be playable and forced to destroy X who had grown incredibly powerful and infinitely intelligent over the course of two games.

Looks like Iron Man because art designer is known for working on Iron Man.
 
Why darker, though? X is already kinda dark as is. Why bother making it darker and edgier? Aside from the whole ““American Kirby is hardcore[](http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AmericanKirbyIsHardcore) thing. Also Zero to the rescue again.

One of the only Mega Man games where fans were actually happy with its cancellation. Though at least Mega Man Online had the excuse that the Korean company they outsourced it to went through heavy restructuring and THEY were the ones who cancelled it, not Capcom.

I’d still say the PAL MM1 boxart beats the American MM1 and the PAL MM2 boxart…
