Well I’m not part of the left, but hey, congrats Donald. Way to take credit for not (once again) gutting something good your predecessor did.
 
Surely you’ll forgive me, though, for pointing out that his wall is still a stupid idea that will do more harm than good on every level (environmental, political, social, etc.), his attitude towards climate change is going to help push our entire world closer to ecological disaster, his immigration ban is still a scathing indictment of his most basic understanding of how terrorism, immigration, and the world at large functions, his decision to involve Steve Bannon in anything remotely resembling an authoritative position is shameful, his long history of being one of the world’s most inept businessmen makes anything he says about the economy troubling, and regardless of his feeling towards the LGBTQ community he is still a misogynist, racist, and (based on all the information we have on him, thanks to him having been a public figure since the 1980s) an overall terrible person.
 
I’ll give the comments section of that video credit, though. His supporters certainly have gotten quite good at pushing the “poor misunderstood victims of an intolerant left” narrative without ever addressing the real reasons people are still so upset with virtually everything he does.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer exploited the attack to justify President Trump’s ban on immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. “It’s a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to our nation’s safety and security,” Spicer said at this afternoon’s briefing when speaking of the Quebec City attack. But these assertions are utterly false. The suspect is neither Moroccan nor Muslim. The Moroccan individual, Mohamed Belkhadir, was actually one of the worshippers at the mosque and called 911 to summon the police, playing no role whatsoever in the shooting.

Credit where credit is due: it was the Republicans who made it impossible for anyone to discuss or resolve the crisis by changing the house rules.
 
When the stage of disagreement has been reached on a bill or resolution with House or Senate amendments, a motion to dispose of any amendment shall be privileged.
 
The Republicans specifically implemented rules to ensure that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor was the only individual who could authorize discussion, and Cantor had Left. The. House.
 
So you’re criticizing the Democrats for leaving instead of sitting there muted by the new rules? You’re blaming the Democrats for the rule change specifically implemented by the Republicans?
