I always find it hilarious when people use “thou” to sound more formal when, like in other roman-influenced languages, the “th” second-person pronoun is the informal version while the “u” version is formal. “You” has always been the formal version, and it’s simply a case of language shift over centuries.
Now we use “u” for when u want to sound informal. English is weird like that.
Well, sir- if thou dost desire to gallivant gaily with grammatica, know that I am a master of Olden English (specifically the variety of Bullshit Shakespearean). Thy florescent espousal of prose and fancy do little to impress.
