tbh what the ghost of future described wasn’t that much of a change from how this timeline is predicted to unfold anyways so that would just confirm what I already knew… and honestly I USED to embrace this holiday but said holiday hurt me too much for me to love it anymore

That night, @ma3a was visited by the ghosts of Valentine’s past, present, and yet to come. The first reminding ma3a of all the bad things that happened to them on Valentine’s Days in their past. The second one shaming ma3a for the bad things they just happened to be venting about Valentine’s Day in passing because of their past painful experiences with the pseudo holiday. The third one scaring the crap out of ma3a and threatening them with passing away unloved if they did not fully embrace this pointless holiday that mocks everyone without a significant other.

Tumblr was nothing more than an example of a better discussion platform than this exact comment section, first of all.
 
Second, Quakers were an old religious sect that died many years ago and weren’t even that widespread to begin with. Modern mutation of society, like MGTOW, on the other hand, is what possibly is meeting it’s uprising at this point. It already took over a big chunk of Japan, for example, most likely deteriorating their population crisis even further, along with other first world countries. If the “romance deterioration” wouldn’t happen, neither would the “social mutation”.
 
Also, calling a group of people “a bunch of kids who need to grow up” doesn’t always work; I doubt they got no arguments, otherwise they wouldn’t be any better than SJW’s…

MGTOW sounds like a bunch of kids who need to grow up - many of them will probably grow out of it, maybe a lot won’t, but society’s always had its dead ends who die in obscurity.
 
Have you ever met a Quaker? Probably not - I don’t think they exist anymore. You see, they believed in complete abstinance, even in marriage, and weren’t evangelical. They died off very quickly.
 
People who don’t engage in romantic relationships are also a hereditary dead end and be massively outbred by people who do. I know sexual relationship =/= romantic relationship, but they’re definitely very closely correlated. Whatever echo chamber Tumblr may be, the world at large doesn’t even know the difference in-between “gay” and “bisexual,” so it’s safe to bet that for the vast majority of humanity, the two are equal, even if they aren’t on Tumblr.

(Even though my “wish to make couples suffer” doesn’t stem from nowhere considering what pricks were the surrounding people to me just because I was with no one at some point, elaborating upon this would be rendered as generalizing and eventually lead to nowhere).
 
I would also like to say in my defense that “the greatest motivator of humanity” is not, in fact, immortal, hence the MGTOW movement and other social mutation of modern humans we see all over the Web.

I’ve never had a gf on valentine’s. I’ve always been alone, it’s always sucked, it’s always hurt a lot, but I never wanted to make every couple on the entire freaking planet suffer because of it, and I never declared one of the most wonderful pinnacles of human achievement that has spanned all of recorded history as one of the greatest motivators, themes, and meaningful parts of life as “dead,” as though it were some trite thing that would just disappear one day because the Earth completed another circuit around the sun an arbitrary number of times.

The picture itself seems rather nice, especially with the colors and the attention to detail. Looking into the window is almost like looking at the picture inside the picture. The sad Twily also seems to have some kind of odd charm to it, for some reason.

Not to sound like a leftard SJW, but why is the whole Valentine’s Day crap isn’t thrown out of the window by now? I mean, it’s 2016, dammit. It doesn’t seem to serve much purpose but to feed the “IN YOUR FACE” attitude against the ones who can’t find anyone for themselves, coming out of the “Socially successful” people.
 
Romance is obviously dead nowadays, so why isn’t this? Because it’s on life support by the marketing departments. Regardless, it’s only a matter of time until this garbage is thrown away where it belongs: in the metaphorical incinerator.
