I gotta admit though, despite my earlier comment, I AM glad to see Spike and Shiny interact. I mean, as confusing as his sister/mother/boss/tutor relationship is with Twi, at least we have some idea of what they mean to each other, but presumably his relationship with Shining Armor would be just as old, assuming Twi took him home after hatching him, and yet we have no real idea what they’re like with each other after all this time.

If I had this toy, I would replace Shining Armor with this Twilight in armor figure, it would make a lot more sence too because it’s usually Spike who rides on Twilight’s back, so they’d probably switch places when they’re at war.

Characters with helmets tend to have a smaller head of hair. Here’s hoping that Shiny doesn’t suffer this fate since he and Spikezilla are at the top of my want list.

Well, a 2nd animatic did pop up with Spike in a knight costume twirling Pinkie around on his finger, and after Sunburst talks about how he missed Starlight, someone, and I’m betting Pinkie, made Spike crash through a wall, right next to Twilight and Cadance and apparently the crash wasn’t loud enough to wake Flurry Heart.

I’m not saying that the toys aren’t. But let’s face it, Hasbro has a looooong track record of blindly marketing toys to solely girls; or, more specifically, what they think girls like.
