But the difference is that the EQG universe used different characters than the FIM universe, apart from twilight.
Applejack, Fluttershy, RD, ect. all stayed behind, none of them involved. it was more or less a new cast of characters despite them being clones.
So for GOH, unless they leave all of the mane six at home, you’d have more intercontinuity problems, yeah?
Like, they could have the GOH series be about spike and without the mane six involved, but I don’t see that happening :p

From what we’ve seen so far, it looks like it could very easily be set up as a kind of special mission “side story” that takes place in and alongside the regular show continuity without really affecting it much (if at all), like the way Just For Sidekicks and Games Ponies Play happened at the same time but only overlapped for a couple of minutes.
GoH would probably fit in easier. But we know basically nothing about it but toys at this point.

EqG is its own separate contuinity– PRAISE BE UNTO FAUST– but it’s still based on the show’s continuity, even if the show blessedly hasn’t taken any cues from the movies; there’s no specific reason at this point to assume that they’ll do anything substantively different with GOH. We don’t even really know fore sure that “more violence” is going to be a major part of it, especially after the standard set by The Grim Darkness Of The Far Future in the Season 5 Finale.

The issue I see there is that while EQG is a seperate universe and reality, the guardians of harmony toyline is based on the “prime” mlp universe.
So if you’re making a guardians of harmony movie, you’d basically just be making a FIM movie but with more violence :p
Maybe an EqG style movie.

The most I could see would be a few shorts.
hasbro has its hands full trying to advertise all its toylines as is, with Equestria girls suffering in sales due to not having a full series year round.
GoH? I don’t know what that stands for?
I meant I hope they don’t add more violence or anything like that it’s good as it is it doesn’t need more than what it already does that’s not why me and a lot of others like the show.
I hope there’s some adaptation of GoH that goes beyond toys and pack-in comics.

Adult males and very young males (These toys look to be aimed at the same age group of boys as the toys are for the girls, about 5ish to 7ish) have different tastes than adults after all.
The most I can see for bronies would be more of the figurines like nightmare moon and celestia that are designed to put on a shelf for display. But I don’t see them actively altering the show itself for us :(
That being said, if the action focused toys like these sell well, I could see them tweaking the mane show and the movies (If there’s another movie after the 2017 one) to have more adventure and violence in them.
We bide our time.
But the question is: will they listen to us more now? If they’re looking for a male audience, and they already have a large one… Then what?
