Definitely liking the way this seems to be going. It’s rough but getting there. Never be afraid to branch out!

Not a Llama - Happy April Fools Day!

Dude, just work on your art, especially the anatomy, experiment with different styles, dab into a few methods of shading, and then, maybe after a longer period of time has past, try another draw this again meme.

If I’m going to be honest, you will not see any real major improvement in your art in a 20 day time frame. It takes time and many countless attempts to improve yourself. Your last draw this again meme actually did show signs of improvement. That was over a 100+ day time frame. Literally any professional artist(not saying you are) would tell you the same thing. I’m not trying to diminish your self-esteem or anything, and I don’t think anyone else is either, but it’s true. Only you can be your own worst critic. And that in itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It just means that you yourself are always looking for ways to improve. Receiving praise for your work is a great feeling but it’s more important take into consideration what your critics have to say, especially if your striding to improve.

Just curious, are you saying worse because it conforms less to the art style of the show? Or because of some other factor? Because some artists start with copying the artwork style of the official material, but then decide to develop their own stylistic interpretation. Not everybody is trying to emulate exactly the official artwork style. :)

You got… worse. Unless you’re drawing nonstop and actually practicing different poses constantly, you are not going to see a large amount of results in 20 days.

This was BTW the first time I done a pose which isn’t me directly using a reference for one. I did this pose using the circles and stuff and if its wrong and out of proportion I’m sorry I can’t be perfect on my first go.

Yeah, it’s not that I dislike the new one, I just kinda like the older one better. Although the new face style is pretty cute, I do like the older body/outlining/ears better.

Yep, and its a bad thing. cuz people wont see much different. Maybe this time it looks very different, but that doesn’t mean its a good thing. The shorter you do “draw this again” meme, the less you shows how you improved.

If you want to do a “draw this again” meme, do it on a longer period time, 1 month at least

Because at this rate you still trying to experiment new things,and as the result, the chance for you getting better is not guaranteed.

@Zharkaer
I agree, i see some shading on her body and gradient on her iris.
but for the body is off, the previous drawing is better. And i see you try to add some texture on her mane, but it looks off too.

I know its really hurt when people commenting your previous art is better,you might not see it or realized it

the struggle to get better at art is NOT straight forward as you think. Sometimes you do good, and sometimes you do bad.

I’m seeing improvements in some places, but you also seem to have gotten worse, mostly in anatomy.

Well I was aiming to get it so that she was like this but I didn’t bend the legs correctly. Thank you though for the constructive critism unlike someone who hid themselves behind an anonymous comment.

Plus I hate my old style and this an attempt at the style of this guy.
