Yea, the Wikia specifically made for Splatoon cites Splatoon fan fiction. XD
True, but it still seems odd to they basically burst when waist deep in water or covered in ink. I looked it up to see how deep. This Video shows how much water it takes. It’s about the waist when they die. Still it’s somewhat headcannon. It’s like using acid everywhere.
I wouldn’t trust a wikia unless they source from the game.

The closest I can think of is Mahi-Mahi Resort. If you jump in as it’s receding, you can stand in the shallow water for the last second or so.
Also, Splatoon is fun.
I cannot remember any fountains.
For what I know, all stages are pretty dry.
I’m failry certain there’s a level or two with some fountain or another you can splash through? I might be imagining it, admittedly, been a while since I played it.

Well, the Inklings are okay just sort of wading or splashing through shallow water - total immersion is what does them in!
