i think the point is that the new lunar republic is actually most likely just as much a dictatorship as the solar empire.

@Gundlach This, incidentally, is why the whole “America’s not a democracy, it’s a republic” nonsense is so idiotic. Number 1, America is governed by a democratic form of government, just not one that’s by the strictest definition of normal democracy; and Number 2, the statement basically says that America does not match a specific form of democracy, therefore it is not democracy, and is the purest form of a BASIC FORMAT of government.
