Actually, Twilight doubted herself that something was wrong. She started to ask herself if she was just really being over protective of her brother just before Chrysalis sent her to the crystal mines. It made the scene look extra creepy because the audience couldn’t tell if there really was something wrong with Cadence or was there something wrong with Twilight up until Chrysalis revealed herself.

And that was the reason why Twilight figured out something was wrong with Cadence just in time to save the day… sorta… I would expect Chrysalis to learn how to impersonate who she disguises as this time otherwise I’ll really start losing consideration for the queen with no throne

For me, I think it should be Sunburst only because that is the one single pony Starlight will never cross. She really looks up to him. Even though Twilight is Starlight’s teacher, she kind of doesn’t listen to her all the time.
 
It doesn’t really matter if Chrysalis involvement was concealed from the very start or was made obvious. I mean, when the changelings attacked and replaced all the important ponies in the season 6 finale, they weren’t really subtle about it. It was shown immediately from the start.
 
If Sunburst appears and visits Starlight, we don’t really have any reference or comparison to whether he would be acting strange or not because we’ve never seen him and Starlight spend time together on screen before. Its the same reason why Chrysalis taking Cadence place in Canterlot Wedding was so effective. We had little to no exposure to Cadence personality so seeing Cadence played by Chrysalis was so creepy.

I’m not sure about Sunburst, would be more fitting if it was a mane 6 in order to really surprise the audience, like make sure you can’t tell who is who until the closure, Sunburst would be a “given” since he barely ever shows up it would always be a suspect in my opinion

I’m hoping for either Twilight or Sunburst.
 
Bonus if the twist comes after a OOC moment that people get hung up on only to find out it actually wasn’t Twilight at all.

I still think the Chrysalis should replace a main character but this time be actually good at impersonating, it would be amazing if she in disguised would “help” the others chase the fake one by throwing every one against each other.
