To show you why personal beliefs in a comments section for a piece of work has no place to be there in the first place. It’s what I said at the end of my last message and its what I’m saying now. It offers absolutely no value to the conversation other than to promote ones ideology which distracts from the piece itself. Even when Damaged tried to give you the short version of the chapter and the context you give a backhanded compliment and continue to drop your feelings on why this piece and it’s content is wrong.
 
Of course we can go talk about this somewhere else since it’s a topic you feel so passionate about that you must make it known to everyone in a forum which doesn’t welcome it.
 
But to warn you I don’t really care what you believe, that’s your business. I take personal offense when you comment on something of mine when you feel it concerns you and warrants an education on where you personally stand.
 
It’s like you said ponies and certain topics don’t belong together right? Of course we can degree to disagree about what those topics should be. As I’m sure there are a number of personal beliefs on that one.
 
I could go on more but to do so would only distract further from what this piece is here for and that’s to enjoy. If you can’t then no one here needs to know why is all I’m saying.

That said, I see no need to point out what you don’t like about a pic because you don’t approve of it Whether your opinion is based on personal, legal, or moral grounds. Your statement on the content of the piece doesn’t contribute anything of value other than making your personal beliefs known to others.
 
Wrapping it in a complement doesn’t make it any less of a statement that only seeks to promote their own agenda and preferences.
 
To me it’s the equivalent of wiping ones own excrement on something I paid for just because you don’t approve of something that it’s related too. But because you can say something nice while doing it that somehow makes it ok?
 
I’m happy many like the pic and thank the artist for doing such a wonderful job on it.
 
But opinions that in themselves only exist to make ones own beliefs known to others…I can only ask why do it? What do wish to gain from your action if not for what I just said?

I wouldn’t say I have sensitive tastes, I just don’t find the idea of drugs to be fun or interesting in the slightest, even more so with ponies. I don’t believe you’re getting the negative responses you’re claiming are there. There’s a single downvote on this image, and that’s not even mine. I haven’t even voted on this.
 
As I stated, the artwork is great, I just don’t find the underlying situation to be of interest to myself. Now, not taking the fact that others may have just hidden the image, this piece has an overwhelmingly positive opinion from the community, probably from both sides of the situation. Some just want to look at that threesome, and others really like those herbs.

Cant say I didn’t see the negative response coming 4 months ago when I commissioned this piece. My only regret is I didn’t get to upload this myself to properly tag it and shield from those with more sensitive tastes.

Well, a little backstory. The chapter of Given Shape this was written for was a “420” special. In it, Fluttershy and Tree accidentally start getting high from some “herbs,” and Zecora comes in and soon joins them (she knows what is going on, and knows it is ultimately harmless).
