Sunset makes me happy because she’s indeed not a “standarized dork hard-schoolar nerd”, but it also makes me sad since there’s not a lot of fictional despictions of that kind of character, or at least I haven’t found a lot of them.

That’s what I like about Sunset actualy. Most of the time it seems nerds are ony “big book scholars with a love for teacher and rules, love hard work at school and they can’t have normal interests”. That being said, videogames are usually vinculated with geek cultures, but Sunset is indeed pretty smart without using the same old mold of nerd. Plus, intelligence usually have nothing to do with personality, so Sunset can be both smart and laid-back at the same time.  
Also, I’m pretty sure there’s pretty smart people in the world that wouldn’t necessarily like to be a teacher to others, at least not all the time, and procrastinating sometimes doesn’t comes from intelligence, but rather from motivation: Sunset indeed feels so secure about what she knows that studying seems to be quite redundant for her.

What lack of knowledge? They show she isn’t worried about the test, solves the equations without any issue, and is “studying” to humor Twilight. And we’ve in previous shorts and FG that Sunset’s not big on the studying from a book part of learning.

Also, what’s with this lack of character knowledge on the writers part? Isn’t Sunset a fucking genius? Should have emphasized an attitude from Sunset that she didn’t need any help and it’s the others that need help. Sunset could have helped tutor even, but could have began procrastinating instead of tutoring, hence needing to be pushed, just for a different reason.

I’m like Sunset here: when procrastinate, I usually play videogames.

Rainbow Dash is still Rainbow Dash when it comes to studying, I see.

I like how, even though Sunset is the smart one as well, but she can slack off to lol.
