Honestly I wish the special was just about Starlight and Sunset hanging out/bonding. That was the only part I found enjoyable.  
That and I’d be spared of people bitching about “Starlight ‘saved the day all by herself’ and the other better characters are helpless. REEEEEEEEE!”

Compared to the other 2 specials, Mirror Magic is the worst of them; Not because “hurr durr Glimmer is there” (Tbh, Starlight is the only good thing about the special), it’s because of how poorly written it is, it just could be a episode about Sunset teaching Starlight about the human world or inviting her to the movie premiere, but the mirror thing and juniper repeating the “demon girl” formula and many other things ruined everything about the episode  
The other 2 specials where too good and had a bit of slice of life, but this, again, ruined that

I think I should mention that this is just a joke that’s not meant to be taken seriously.  
Also I’m pretty sure ambitious and good are two separate things

but princess Celestia was already in Equestria Girls so that’s not a crossover.  
also it was a bit more a risk having these two meet up then the reunion with Celestia

Very funny. But seriously, even as a Starlight fan, I greatly prefer Forgotten Friendship to Mirror Magic.
