Smolder might like the book better if it was a dragon romance. The hero tosses the torn-off heads of his rivals at his lady-love’s feet together with a pile of gemstones and she runs into his arms.

I am who I am
You know, after the latest episode seemed to indicate that yaks are very… strong-smelling (and from Yona’s reaction, it seems she’s proud of it), I can’t help but amuse myself by thinking that Smolder’s reaction here is partially due to the choice of literature, and partially due to the stench now enveloping her.
 
On a related note, at first I misread the “slinky” tag as “stinky”.

Uotapo clearly loves Smolder, because she seems to dominate his drawings of the Student 6.
 
I like how Yona is clearly happily fascinated reading the romance, with her foreleg thrown over Smolder. It’s half-affectionate and half to keep her from leaving. Smolder still seems to be in the “boys are gross” phase of her childhood, while Ocellus is just being sweetly excited by the story. Silverstream is in her own little world of being the 100% genki girl.

When you live your whole lifetime in a kingdom under the ocean and you see something outside the ocean for the first time, you get excited just like silver stream, i don’t blame her When i saw her reaction to everyday objects like stairs.
