(Entering Twilight’s castle, Tanzanite and Moonbeam begin heading down the halls)
Blue: Wait, you guys are just walking in? This is a castle, you sure she won’t get mad at as for intruding?
(Moonbeam and Tanzanite just exchange a laugh and look back at her)
Tanzi: Blue, didn’t you notice the guard by the door over there? *points to the door*
Blue: *looks back and sees the guard staring at them* Oh, yeah.. I didn’t see him. Is that bad?
Moon: No, that just means he’s fine with us coming in. Tanzanite is Sir Spike’s son; He’s practically royalty by affiliation.
Tanzi: Yeah, and Moonbeam is royalty, after all.
Blue: What?! You’re royal, Moonbeam?!
Moon: *groans a little but gives a small smile* Technically, yeah.. My father is a Duke. He’s not royal by blood though; He was adopted into the Royal Family. But I’d rather not be affiliated with him, thanks.
Blue: Oh, I’m sorry; I wasn’t aware your parents were a touchy subject.. *she rubs the back of her neck nervously*
Moon: Oh, don’t worry. My mother isn’t; Just my father. If I can even call him that…
Tanzi: Over here, girls! The library is this way!
(Blue Moonstone and Moonbeam catch up and follow Tanzanite down a long hallway to the castle library)
Blue: Woah.. there are a lot of books here.
Tanzi: That’s why it’s called a ‘library’. Besides, this is Princess Twilight’s castle; Did you expect anything less?
Blue: Well, in all fairness, I don’t know Princess Twilight all that well. I’ve only been here a short while now.
Moon: Don’t worry, Blue, she’s the best Princess around! Well, besides in Canterlot, the only princess around.. But that’s beside the point! Come on, let’s start looking for some books on dragons.
(The three of them split up and started searching the library. Blue Moonstone looked up and down a few shelves until she turned a corner and almost stepped on something)
Voice: Hey! Watch where you’re stepping!
Blue: *picks up her claws quickly and pins her ears back* Oops, sorry! I didn’t see you.. *gasps* Are you a-
(The creature stands up and brushes off her tail and legs, then crosses her arms and looks at her with an eyebrow up)
Dragon: A dragon? Yes, I am. Who are you anyways and what are you doing in Twilight’s library?
Blue: My name is Blue Moonstone.. I’m a friend of Tanzanite’s.
Dragon: Tanzanite, huh? *looks her over* Well, I see he found himself another Dragony to make friends with, huh? That’s actually pretty cool. My names Aphrodite, you can just call me Didi; if you want to.. I don’t really care if you do or not. *puts the book she was reading away*
Blue: Aphrodite? That’s a cute name.. But I think I’ll call you Didi too.
Didi: Yeah, most do.. So what are you here for? Did Tanzi come with you? *looks over her shoulder a bit*
Blue: Oh, yes, he did. He’s gotta be close by somewhere. *turns and goes to find him with Didi following after her*
(The two of them find Tanzi knocking books off the a tall shelf)
Didi: Hey! *flies up to him with an angry expression* You’re making a mess! Can’t you just read the spines like a normal pony?!
Tanzi: Didi! What a nice surprise! Maybe you can help us?
Didi: Ugh.. Pick up this mess or I’m not helping you with anything! **pointing at the pile of books he’s making* *
(Tanzanite looks down at the pile and then laughs sheepishly, not realizing how big it had gotten)
Tanzi: Heh.. right, sorry about that.
(Tanzanite puts the books back on the shelf the best he could. Moonbeam turns the corner and sees the three of them together and trots over)
Moon: Aphrodite, hello!
Didi: *turns and gasps* Moonbeam? You’re here too? It’s been a while, girl! *hugs Moonbeam and then turns back to Tanzanite and Blue*
Tanzi: I always forget you two were in the bookclub together..
Didi: She’s the only other pony who understood my opinions on the books we were reading. No other pony wanted to give me the light of day about my ideas.
Tanzi: That’s because they were always pessimistic. You were a downer, Didi.
Moon: I wouldn’t call her that, she just has a different way of seeing the world.
Didi: Thank you!
Blue: Alright, well, Tanzi is done putting the books back.. Can we get back to why we came here?
Tanzi: Right.. Didi, we came to try and get some information on the Dragonlands for Blue Moonstone, here. She doesn’t know where she came from or who or what she even is; So we thought Twilight would have some information about us or the Dragons that could help us figure something out.
Didi: Well that’s easy, the Dragon Lore section is over this way.
(Aprodite leads the group to the back wall of the library. Blue’s eyes widen at the array of books infront of her)
Blue: There’s more than I thought there would be..
Didi: Yeah, after we befriended the Dragonlands and gained allies with Lord Ember; Twilight was able to get a lot more information on our kind.
Blue: Are you saying Princess Twilight wrote most of these books?!
Tanzi: Yeah, that’s nothing out of the ordinary. She probably wrote half this library. *laughs*
Blue: Wow.. that’s impressive.
Voice: Thanks! I’m quite proud of it, myself!

Twilight: I am. You must be a friend of Tanzanite’s; Its so cool he’s found another Dragony! It’s so nice to meet you! Would you mind if I ask you a few questions?
Didi: Twilight..
Twilight: Oh, it won’t take that long.. It’s just besides Tanzi, this is the first Dracony I’ve seen! And her features are different than Tanzanite’s.. Were you born differently?
Blue: Um..
Twilight: Was it your mother or your father that was the dragon? What temperature was it when you were born? You don’t have wings, but you have a horn, so that must mean your mother or father was a unicorn, right?
Blue: I.. I don’t know.. Can, can you stop prodding me?
Twilight: Oh! I’m sorry, I was getting ahead of myself. I tend to do that when I’m excited. But seriously, you and Tanzanite are currently the only two of your kind, and I just find that so fascinating. I need to know more about you.
Blue: Well I’d love to help your studies, but, even I don;t know anything about me.
Twilight: *face goes serious* What do you mean?
(Blue Moonstone goes on to tell Twilight about not knowing where she’s from. About being raised by the Diamond Dogs and finding Tanzanite and hoping he could help her find where she came from)
Twilight: Wow.. You were raised by the Diamond Dogs? … How did you survive, in all honesty?
Blue: Once you get passed their, well, rough exterior, they are good creatures. They were great fathers to me.
Twilight: Well, the way you made it sound, it seems like you were hatched.. Which would only mean your mother was a dragon. That would also explain why your dragon features are a lot more dominant on you than on Tanzanite.. The scales and markings at least, even though you don’t have wings.
Moon: Do you know if there’s any way to find out who Blue’s mother is? Is there a book on dragon birth records or something?
Twilight: Well, every so often, Lord Ember does send me a list of the new hatchlings in the Dragonlands for record.. But Blue, you said the Diamond Dogs found you before you hatched, right?
Blue: It would seem so.. So does that mean I wouldn’t have been on her record?
Twilight: Well.. let’s see. *Twilight lifts a book off the shelf and flips through it* There are only a few pages in here that include dragon eggs that never hatched or were lost. Some are back in Lord Torch’s reign, but there are a few listed that could’ve been from Ember’s based on the given timeline..
Tanzi: Are there names of the dragons?
Twilight: Unfortunetly, no.. Ember only informed me two of her fellow dragons lost their eggs, and both were caused by the egg being destroyed by falling off a cliff during a collapse. Those poor baby dragons…
Moon: Well that doesn’t help us..
Tanzi: *reading over Twilight’s shoulder* Huh.. Lord Ember had a hatchling?
Twilight: Oh, yes, a while back now. You didn’t know?
Tanzi: No.
Twilight: Lord Ember hatched a daughter named Haze. Unfortunetly, she had Haze with Garble.. but there wasn’t much of a choice for her.
Moon: *ears perk up* What do you mean by that?
Twilight: Well, according to Dragon Law, in order to remain the Dragon Lord, you need to be married and produce an heir in case something were to suddenly happen to the current Lord. The Dragons have a custom where they battle to see who the best suitor is for the Dragon Lord. Of course, Garble ended up winning the competition and became Lord Ember’s husband.
Tanzi: But doesn’t he have a son with that dragon, Fizzle, too?
Twilight: Yes, well, that’s Garble for you. Would you expect any less?
Tanzi: From what dad’s told me, I guess not. But why has dad never told me about Haze before?
Twilight: Maybe it just slips his mind. Spike has a lot going on nowadays.
Didi: Which is why I’m here most of the time now instead. Crescendo hasn’t been needing my assistance as much, lately, so I figured with Spike being so busy, I’d help aid Twilight like Spike used to.
Twilight: *smiles at Didi* And you’ve been very helpful.
Blue: … So we’ve hit a dead end.
Twilight: Not exactly.. We just need a bit more information, that’s all. **puts the book away* *
Moon: Do you have an idea then, Princess?
Twilight: I do. I think you and Tanzanite should take a trip to the Dragonlands.
(Tanzanite and Blue Moonstone both gasp and exchange a look)
Tanzi: Us? Actually GO to the Dragonlands?! Twilight, be reasonable-
Twilight: I am being reasonable! Come on, you’re Spike’s son! You’ve met Ember before, she’ll welcome you in! And seeing as you’re both half dragon, I’m sure she’ll take care of you both as honored guests.
Blue: But.. I’ve never been around dragons before.. Well, besides Didi here..
Twilight: *puts her hoof on Blue’s cheek reasurringly* It’ll be fine. Ember wouldn’t let anything happen to you. And if it makes you feel any better, I’ll send a letter to Lord Ember letting her know you two are coming?
Blue: looks up at Twilight That would help, yes. I’m still so nervous though..
Twilight: You two will be fine. You two are half dragons after all.. And maybe Tanzi, you could use this opportunity as well; to learn more about your own heritage too!
Tanzi: I guess that would be cool. Come on, Blue; This might be the only way. Lord Ember could possibly even know who your mother is..
Blue: .. Alright, let’s do this! We’re going to the Dragonlands! Thank you, Princess.
Twilight: The pleasure is mine, Moonstone. I hope you find the answers you need.
(As they go to leave, they freeze when they hear Twilight speak up)
Twilight: Hey, Didi, why are all these books out of order on the top shelf over here? They’re a mess! Come on, some are even upside down?!
(Tanzanite exchanged a nervous glance with Moonbeam and Blue and laughed nervously)
Tanzi: Hurry, let’s get out of here before she has me stay to reorganize them! *runs out*
