Generally, one wouldn’t have quite so much reason for caution.
When plotting betrayal, it is best to make sure the person you’re plotting against isn’t around.
In all cases she could not be seen till she revealed herself.
Have you been surprised by someone behind you? He/she’s there in plain sight behind you fairly silent, I think anyone would be able to see him/her coming the same way you do.
She was standing in plain view, right behind them.
Any one of them could have seen her by simply turning around.
I fail to see how this constitutes hiding.
She was hidden in all cases.
A seven foot tall Bug-Horse Monster standing a few feet behind you isn’t exactly hard to miss.
NO ONE could have predicted that would happen
I predicted it the moment she used trees to make evil clones. I would have predicted it back in the early 1980s when I was in the appropriate age range. It was super obvious.
She could not have seen that coming and she would have defeated Chryssy even without the rest of the Mean 6.
That was a bullshit deus ex machina and you know it. NO ONE could have predicted that would happen. If it never happened Evil Twilight would have overthrown Chrysalis and gone on to be a powerful force of evil to be reckoned with.
Chrysalis survived only by luck.

Or maybe not. The tree’s defense mechanism seemed to be able to handle any corrupting force that might try to approach it directly.

OK OK, honestly I would rather avoid comparissons because in the end the contexts are different between Tirek and Evil Twi. I just wish she could have been longer so we could see more about she, because I honestly enjoyed her a lot. And just because it’s a cartoon for kids doesn’t mean we can develop theories, I mean it happens with anything, like food, TV, sports, nationalism, I know you have your perception, I just think she was pretty smart for the very little time and resources she had, given that she can’t empower herself easily with magic drain skills.

Its a animated cartoon for kids, lets not dig too deep into things, because we know the writers just wrote the characters with all the memory nesseccary to function as a normal everyday pony, and not anything deeper like “lacking knowledge for thier existence” or “being shells with a piece of life”. You cannot say “she didnt have time to show her potential” because she is dead, and will never do so. Therefore she is not the most competent villain in mlp. Youre free to disagree but i won’t be convinced otherwise.

The lack of memories thought mean that they can hardly know the reason of their existence. They just existed and are little more than shells with a piece of life but lacking in a lot of experience to use.
Well thats kinda my point. She hasnt had enough content to peove herself as “Most competent villain in the entire show”. She had decent wits. Its not fair to say “She was just hours old/like a child” because we could clearly see that the clones shared everything with the real mane 6 just in reverse (except for memory)
