That’s kinda close to what I’ve imagined, minus a few alterations. but yea, I’ve felt she is either “The end game” or “part of the end game”.
 
And because I do not have 45 minutes to spare myself, I’ll simply say you’re not the only one.
 
Realistically though we’ll probably get like 15 minutes of songs, 5 minuets of oh noes it’s a bad guy, 3 minutes of twilight doubting her abilities, 2 minutes of “Wow glimmer”, 10 minutes of yay friendship, 6 minutes of exposition, 4 minutes of dumb royalty, and 2 minutes of “toys” for a grand total of 44 minutes of our lives we’ll never get back.

You know, the more I ponder the season finale the more I think that, just maybe… she might be connected to the series finale. I mean, there’s no possible way to drag out Cozy’s arc beyond season 9, for, uh, reasons; her final solution should either be the subject of the S9 premiere, or the finale. It’d be too soon to bring her back first thing, so it would only make sense to slowly tease her return. Bit by bit; news of suspicious behavior here, a lost set of magical artifacts there… It would be as hinted at as Starlight’s return, or even Chrysalis’.
 
And Chrysalis? In all likelihood she’ll show up in the premiere instead. If she doesn’t, then the only logical conclusion is that she’d be interested in the one who almost managed to steal the magic of an entire nation. There’s no way she could have missed it! Chrysalis isn’t dumb - arrogant and tunnel-vision prone, yes, but not dumb. Perhaps she’ll think to wield the same magics that nearly drained Equestria to her advantage, never realizing that the pony she finds will be able to manipulate her as easily as Chrysalis had played so many ponies before. It’s only natural she would team up with Cozy Glow, even if she may not seem like much. Chrysalis is desperate. She has no army, no hive, no crown, no real outstanding powers of her own, so she’d have to consider it. Plus, Tyrek vouching for Cozy should be just the ticket.
 
But there are a few things that feel as if they’re… missing. Those lost threads that could sew this whole idea into a beautiful patterned cloth. Sombra, and Grogar. I’m not sure how, but if they were to somehow make a triumphant return then Cozy has her ace in the hole. Sombra’s dark magic is capable of mind-controlling swaths of the population, along with the uncanny control over crystals to create towering structures. And it’s not clear how powerful Grogar is, or even was. He was implied to have some form of control over fear in A Flurry Of Emotions, and even gained power from it to grow more powerful than “any unicorn to have ever lived”. Ever since G1, he’s been locked in some sort of “shadow world”…
 
And what was Cozy Glow’s plan? To funnel all the magic into “another realm”. Maybe she was trying to summon Grogar himself! Trying to revive him, to serve her and secure her place as queen! Maybe she won’t even need Sombra himself, but his power; his horn that was shown to still be intact all those years ago. An artifact at this point, one completely ready to grab hold of any brain and mold it like putty to serve the wearer.
 
I imagine they’re planning something truly epic to end out the series, and what could be more awesome than a monolithic castle of dark crystals, with a hulking, magic-stealing demon atop surrounded by an endless swarm of monstrous changelings capable of blotting out the sky, being commanded by a cute, little, pink filly with a huge eyes and a neat bow?!
