There’s a legend passed down from one generation of Kirin to another for centuries, a legend about a blue-coated Kirin by the name of Rainbow Dash. She was known and respected by her fellow Kirin for her great courage and loyalty to her friends. She was also known to possess a love for all things fast, from racing to skydiving to speed drinking. Mesmerized by the sight of clouds from a very young age, she moved to the top of the highest mountain in the Peaks of Peril as soon as she came of age, just to be able to feel a bit closer to them.
 
Her most remarkable feature, however, was the fact that she never burst into flames when angry like the other Kirin. That wasn’t to say that she never succumbed to emotion, or that she never turned into a Nirik. Sure, her coat would turn black as coal, and she’d become noticeably warmer. But no matter how mad she got, flames refused to appear.
 
Countless Kirin travelled for miles to knock on her door, frantically asking her to reveal her secret. Was there an herbal remedy she discovered? A special form of meditation? A ritual, perhaps? The trek to her home was long and troublesome, but if any way to prevent the fires destroying village after village could be found, it would be worth it.
 
To those Kirin, Rainbow Dash said, “You wanna know why I don’t catch on fire? There’s no weird supernatural secret. It’s simple stuff, really.”
 
”You just need to be about 20% cooler.“
