Ash is slowly awoken by an unknown voice… He thinks it’s one of his friends which prompts him to wake up quicker. Only to find himself in an eerie, and never-ending realm of darkness instead of the bed he was sleeping on..
 
“Pikachu?!… Mane Six!?.. Milly?!… Anyone!? Where are you guys!? W-Where am I?!”  
All of a sudden the voice comes out of the shadows, ash trying to make out the figure. It looking like Sonic or Shadow..  
“Gasp! Shadow!? Is that you!?… Huh?..”

Mephiles:“I'm afraid, Ash Ketchum, Shadow is not here... Only you... Me... And my realm of darkness~..”
 
“Waiiit a minute… So You’re that Mephiles Shadow was talking about! 😠”  
“Hmhmhmhm~ indeed~ for a pathetic and stupid trainer such as yourself, Ash, you catch on well~..”  
“G-GGAH!? HEY!! WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME!? 😡 AAARH!!”
 
Ash lunges himself to Mephiles but with no prevail. Mephiles simply fading into his shadow and appearing on his side..
 
“@Hahaha~ fool~ you should know that you can’t hit a shadow~ even for a trainer such as yourself shou" "GAAAH!!"   **Mephiles simply dodges it again..**   "Ggrrh!! What do you want from me, Mephiles!? You take me back to where I was sleeping now!!"   "Hmhmmhmahaha~ oh, but Ash Ketchum%, you’re already alseep% Hmhm~ yesss~ using my powers I’d trapped you in a bit of a coma so we can talk_{" **Mephiles giving Ash a sort of snarking grin with his face even though Mephiles didn't have a mouth...**   "Hmmmmmrrrpmmh.. Fine! But what is it exactly you want me here to *talk* about!?"   ...   "It’s your potential}.."   "Huh?.."   "Don’t you see, Ash Ketchum? Don’t you remember your past failures??"   "Wh-what are you talking about?!"   **Mephiles uses his powers to bring up a magical chart of Ash Ketchum's win-to-lose record, grunting**   "Your record despises me, Ketchum, even for someone who’s supposed to be a “master trainer”_{"   "But I-!!"   "Are you?} are you a master trainer Ash Ketchum? Because for the record, there’s one thing you FAIL to master at.."   **Mephiles brings up a chart of every league Ash was in**   "H-hu-huuhh?!"   "Don’t you see?? The one thing you FAIL at is winning Pokémon leagues. Every league you enter: you get eeever so close%% yet your streak ends with a loss%, ahaha_{"   "...Auh!? Well, what does that have to do with anything?! As long as-"   "As long as you have the power of love and friendship at your side? Hah!! Pathetic…"   **Mephiles glares at Ash..**   "Your use of such petty talk is what’s your down fall.."   "E-eh!? N-no it isn't!!"   "It is, Ash Ketchum…"   **Mephiles get face-to-face with Ash...**   "You… Foolish child, are going to have to realize that this world no longer tolerates such weak and pathetic acts of peace.."   ...   "I-...It D-doesn't?.."   "Hmhmhm~ I’m afraid not}"   "Rrgh! Well if none of that matters, at least I have close friends, relatives, and Pokémon wh-"   "Oh Pokémon you say? Heehahahaha!!"   **Mephiles' minions cackle and laugh from the shadows, Ash seeing their glowing, pink silhouettes forming in the never-ending void of this realm..**   "Hmhmhmahaha% Tell me, Ash Ketchum, do you Reeeeally call Pokémon that you purposely leave behind or set free are even CONSIDERED your friends??"   "W-What ar-"   **Ash is interrupted by Mephiles showing Ash flashbacks of Pokémon he left behind or set free..**   "You’re so idiotic, Ketchum, throwing away such great possibilities and POWER! And you say you’ll come back to them one day.. in which~ seems like you haven’t_{"   **Ash balls up one of his fists..**   "And you surprisingly haven’t been keeping good track of how well your team is, most Pokémon you set free are wasted potential. All because you ‘Think it’s for the better that they’re set free}’ or “They belong in the wild%’.. ALL OF WHICH IS PATHETIC!!"   "EEAAH! STOP IT!!"   **Ash goes to tackle Mephiles again after Mephiles gets rid of the flashbacks..**   "G-gghh... Gahhh... You think this'll change me?? If I think what you are gonna do IT'S NOT GONNA WORK!!"   ...   **Mephiles only chuckles in amusement, mocking Ash's weak attempts at resistance..**   "You know this is the truth, and all of it is staring you in the face%.. but do you also know what’s making you lose? It’s your pathetic companion Pikachu_{"   "Huah?! What do you mean!?? Pikachu has always been good in the battles we've faced!!"   "But, Ketchum, you haven’t unlocked his full potential.. you kept this creature at a low line from showing its true strength as a Raichu, all because of your pathetic believes… Oh Ketchum} if only you’d evolve that rodent you’d win much more battles than you could EVER hope for~ even win BACK the leagues you lost…"   "N-no%.. I... I-i can't d-do this t-to my... My friend..."   *Mephiles could see Ash starting to cry tears of pain and anxiety, chuckling as his plan was starting to run nice and smooth%*   "All this Love and Friendship has made you weak Ash Ketchum.."   "H-he-huh?... G-gah!%.." 😢   *Ash notices Mephiles giving him an open hand as a few of his henchmen, the Dark Six, coming out from the shadows giggling%*   "But I, Ash, I can guide you. And together, I can help you become the TRUE master trainer you’re meant to be~ Only if, you’re willing to let me guide you_{"...   **Ash, still crying, slowly reaches for Mephiles' hand but jerks his hand back in retaliation..**   "I’m afraid there’s nothing else you can say that’ll counter this argument, Ketchum, the only choice now… Is to allow me to guide you… And become the greatest, and most powerful trainer the world has EVER seen}"...   **Ash makes a grunted defeat as he still slowly reaches for Mephiles' hand, only for Mephiles to grab him and use his dark magic to cast an 'infection' to him**   "YAAAAAAAAGGGHH!!! AAA-AAAH-AAAAH!!!" 😭😫   "Uhahahaha, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!@”  
Mephiles maniacal laughter was joined by the Dark Six and Mephiles’ minions  
“A-AAAH-AAAHAAAH!! IT STIIINGS!! 😫😫 IT’S BURNING ME!! AAAAAHHH!!”  
The panel moves up to show Mephiles, the Dark Six, and Mephiles’ minions laughing maniacally at their triumph as their laughter was revertedlly cut and the scene ends..
