Scorsese hates ALL of Disney, not just Marvel. He’s the reason I don’t watch internet reviews of Disney-related stuff.

And honestly, I have nieces who are like, 8 and 9, so I watch Disney movies mainly to spend time with them. I don’t think Scorsese has any right to tell me how to spend time with my kids.

Still, even “Dark Phoenix” and “Spies in Disguise” didn’t get as much venom from the Martin Scorsese-loving crowd as non-Fox Disney movies, so Fox movies in general get a pass from the “Scorsese said we must hate Disney, therefore we will hate Disney” crowd.

Well, sure, you’re right, but those are for films that people know aren’t Disney films, the thing I was trying to get at is I don’t think a lot of people back in the day knew for sure that Anastaia was a Fox film since the studio they opened up for it was new to the industry, especially for Fox in terms of trying to compete with Disney since the only other film I could think of that Fox did before they opened the Fox Animation division was FernGully, and I don’t think that was entirely inhouse for Fox.

To be fair, unless it’s the X-Men Cinematic Universe or something by Blue Sky, most people don’t really perceive Fox as “Disney”.

Fox is now in the same bag as Touchstone, Miramax and Hollywood Pictures: unless they make the Disney connection blatant, it doesn’t “count” as Disney.

I mean, when was the last time anyone looked at “Pulp Fiction” or “Kill Bill” and said “that’s a Disney movie”?

Same thing with 2019/2020 Fox: name me one non-Dark Phoenix, non-Spies in Disguise review where they make the Disney connection

How ironic that Anastasia, the Disney/like film from Fox, is now owned by Disney and just furthers that “Its a Disney film” mentality. which kind of pisses me off.
