Well, Celestia made Twi wear a siren that would go off if Twi had a racist thought, and it went off until it was taken off. Though maybe she just thinks the Z-word constantly, like preteens who just say the same homophobic slur over and over in online FPS games.
Kinda sounds like Sparkles makes fun of some pony or some zebra for being sensitive about something, Celestia asks Sparkles why she did that, Sparkles responds “it’s their fault for being sensitive about something stupid!”
Good point. But then again jargon’s twilight doesn’t seem to actually have racist views, she seems to be more along the lines of a troll who’s merely taking advantage of a major “weak point”
Velvet mightn’t be racist (or at least maybe not as racist), but more of than not, racists have racist parents.
Who’s says the reason she’s like that is because of her mother?

Maybe, but I wouldn’t think so.
Considering how racially (in)sensitive Jargon’s Twilight Sparkle is, I can’t imagine her mom being much (if any) better.
