I think was just Fluttershy walking like which emulated the skunk smell.
I don’t know if she could physically spray the way skunks do. Though I have heard suggestions that it was just the skunk smell and Fluttershy was only walking like one, but TV Tropes seems to think she farted in Rarity’s face.
Me neither. There’s just something extra amusing and sexy by seeing the pony who’s the most dainty and elegant of the main characters do “uncouth” things which include farting and pooping.
Also, I’m not sure if that “fart” really counts with Fluttershy as she was mimicking a skunk. Perhaps her musk changed?
Whenever Rarity blasts a big one around me, she always excuses herself
