No, your eyes do not deceive you; this is in fact the continuation of the Season 9 Retirement Party! …I am SO sorry that I took so long to get back to this. I haven’t gone anywhere, I’ve still been keeping up with fandom activities well after the show’s conclusion, but between job stuff, pandemic stuff, and DeviantArt breaking stuff, I just… didn’t really feel like drawing comics for a while. As a result, the comic above just kinda sat half-finished on my computer for about 9 months and I just got around to finishing it now. I still have a lot of stuff I’d like to do with FiM art, and I plan on getting back to it now, starting with finishing off the rest of season 9. …I may be ignoring requests for a while, though, just so I can draw what I’d like to draw without the pressure of doing favors for strangers without pay. Sorry to disappoint anyone with that.
 
Anyway, today’s comic is based on The Big Mac Question, aka: “A Long-Established Romantic Couple Finally Tie the Knot, and So Do Big Mac and Sugar Belle: the Episode”. Yeah, whenever a big scene occurs with my favorite background ponies during an episode, I tend to want to focus more on that than the episode itself, and you can hardly blame me for this comic because this was a pretty huge deal when it came out. The episode itself was plenty fun in its own right, though; plenty of Discord shenanigans, Crusader shenanigans, and Apple Family feels to give me a good time overall, so much so that I completely missed the other proposal in the background the first time I saw it, much to my shame and embarrassment. I’m happy for Sugar Belle, though; I’m sure she’ll be a great addition to the Apple Family.
 
…And Bon Bon’s really gonna regret pulling out of that bet…
 
I have 3 comics planned for the 3-part finale, so I’ll see you for the conclusion of this Retirement Party… probably within a couple weeks rather than another 9 and a half months. On to the next episode!
