This is the first time it’s been brought up and posted directly as a shipping reference though, the other three times it was just panels (and one page) from the comic being uploaded and the discussion evolved on its own in the comments. I gotta say though, the Rarijack tag’s gonna keep going up without any help from memes or speculation posts, it seems.

Well, if we see more nods now that we definitely know they know, I’ll agree with you.
I think they said they weren’t familiar with the term “Rarijack” at all, which doesn’t mean they aren’t familiar with the pairing or the idea of “shipping” characters in general. Both of them are on DeviantArt and obviously keep up with the fandom to at least some degree so it’s highly unlikely they’ve never come across any Rarijack fanart, but it is possible.
