I always thought that Nerd Dash here bore an uncanny resemblance to Silver Shill from the show. Never mind the fact that this comic predates Silver Shill’s debut by about four months.

YES, it doesnt matter who makes her.  
an oc is a character created by someone that isnt a part of anything official for the fandom its based on.  
fausticorn has never been in the show and has no official show based merchandise so therefore shes an oc.

that doesnt make her a canon character. the brony documentary was a video about bronies, not the show, therefore it would include non-canon characters created by the fandom.
 
canon media refers to things like the show or movies and things based on the show in particular. so the documentary doesnt count.

We do this and are right because if one person were capable of accurately predicting reasonable actions for a massive amount of characters while still driving a plot,  
a. That person would be literally inhumanly smart.  
b. Their brainpower would be better spent advancing technology and society by centuries.

i thank you both for you fansy pants support and i shall continue this quest till ive finished, and i urge anyone who does have free time if you come across any fausticorn pics not tagged oc to tag it properly.
 
its not really hard to do either if you happen to be checkin out a fausticorn pic then check for the oc tag, if its not there add it, takes a couple seconds.
 
personally i dont even think its a dispute about her bein an oc or not. back then people used oc, ponysona, and ponified for oc’s and i notice alotta the older fausticorn stuff tagged ponified or ponysona and then when oc became standard people stopped tagging fausticorn with any of it near as i can tell at least.

In the episode where the Daring Do series of books is revealed, you clearly see on the cover of the book that Daring Do was designed to have a similar mane to Rainbow from the start. This is like being annoyed that Metal Sonic is just a robot copy of Sonic.
