In the Royal Guard’s defense, not every day has to be high-intensity action all the way through. Everypony should have some time to take a break every now and then. Also, I imagine that the Royal Guards are more celebrities than soldiers. They’re better at basking in their fame than anything else.

According to some Sources the princesses have a secret elite unit called Mane Six. It’s rumored that every member of the team is a battle-hardened Alicorn who has killed at least three dragons with his bare hooves.

But I make you wonder how the military is perceived in Equestrian culture. We have seen the break in doors to civilian homes while on business. One can only guesses the role of the guards. Are they just protection (Setcret service) or the Royal’s personal strike team (SEal Team 6)?

Thought it was a “Castle” reference. But maybe the 12th Pct in “Castle” is a homage to “Barney Miller”?

Oops, I meant to say “more satisfying than a two-dimensional strong one.” I blame the weird glitchiness of the comments earlier. I had to write the whole thing twice, and I got all impatient.

No kidding. It seems like this crowd won’t be satisfied until they’re convinced that Flash is pathetic in some way or another. I’ll never understand why they find the idea of a two-dimensional weak character so much more satisfying than a two-dimensional weak one.
