Of course not. We have already seen that Equestria obeys Chronology Consistency Principle, thus nothing the time traveler does can change the future. She could do whatever she wants (in fact, if history-consistent time travels are possible, free will would be heavily constricted or nonexistent) without changing her fate.

What if time-traveling Twilight accidentally messed up the spell and went forward in time instead of back? She would discover herself as a princess, which seemed to be Celestia’s big secret from her. Would Twilight then get a swelled head from knowing her future position and do something stupid out of arrogance to change the future, thus canceling the princesshood?
