Re-upload, artist missed the handcuff on Spike’s wrist in Panel 5, this is the fixed version.
I think it still is, it’s just that I think that the earlier pages were just setting up for the backdrop of the story is all. So it makes sense for characters turning to piracy what with most of Equestria being flooded and all.
But he isn’t really much if a dragon, is he? Sure, he may be one physically, but he’s been raised amongst ponies all his life, as the protégé of the Princess herself who - before she went bonkers in this comic - basically doted on him all the time. And after that, he got a crummy job as an office drone for a pittance just to stay alive. It really isn’t so far-fetched that he’d be kind of spineless.
And hey, we have no idea how big and badass dragons other than spike even are in Anthrotown.
No it won’t.
For those few who still haven’t noticed, this is basically a Black Lagoon parody.
Which means Spike will play the helpless, spinless guy who makes funny remarks while others fight his battles.
Great.
Because god forbid we have him act like a real dragon at least in the face of danger.
which would be good, this universe Celestia has gone full Sauron.
two things about that:
Ah, yes, she forgot the handcuff in the old version! Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll re-upload and request it merged forward.
his wrist in the panel in the middle.
That was an awesome animu.
I can’t tell a difference? You’ll have to specify.
…actually, if he panics and uses his firebreath without switching modes, he’s faxing a missile to Celestia…
I suspect so, yes.
