Never found the time/station for B5 when it was on-air, but somehow absorbed a few secondhand basics (eg. Ivanova Is God(R)) from the fanbase. Gotta (pretend to) love Gullible Alien Politickers(C). And yeah, D would have to keep any partner guessing, be it through the Dance of His People(C), switching ’tween abstract schwanstucker shapes mid-schtuppage, or all three with harmonica-and-oboe accompaniment. Band camp shellshock for any Guardpones within earshot.
Hoho, yeah, that sounds fun. I have the feeling that conception wasn’t exactly normal, either. Ever see Babylon 5? Season 2, episode 12 when Ivonova shows off “human style mating.” I kind of want Discord’s style of mating to be something like that (or that’s what he tells Celestia for the lulz and then just does a finger-snap-induced pregnancy).
We know Dissy’s susceptible to flattery (Tirek) and TWUE FWIENDSHIP (Fluttershy), but reverse psychology? Something tells me that’s Russian roulette at best. Perhaps some kinda bait-and-switch gag was involved where the doulas found themselves catching a volleyball, followed by: “Oh, you were looking for this? Careful, he portals.”
Yeah… I’m kind of disappointed Ki canon’d what sounded like a fairly normal pregnancy for Illusion. One would expect the Lord of Chaos to reproduce in a pretty unconventional manner. Then again, maybe he knew that’s what we’d be expecting so he did what would actually be the unexpected by doing the expected. Hmm…
Fair ‘nuff. Come to think of it, Illusion’s auspicious emergence must’ve been the Royal Guard’s true litmus test.
Yeah, she was. I figure she doesn’t necessarily need to be there for Spike to be kept out of the delivery room, though. Who knows how long either of them was in labor, anyway.
Oh, right…but I distinctly recall Twiley’s presence in that pic too. Having to ‘port between blessed events for adoptive bro-supervision purposes must get annoying-unless she just slapped a forcefield on the delivery room’s interior & called that good.
Kilala did a pic of that actually. They totally locked him out of the delivery room right from the beginning.
Now that you mention it, since nopone seems too concerned about flaming commotion down the hall, maybe his atavistic impulse control’s improved since Claire.
Baby bumps sink a little bit, but don’t disappear instantly once the kid’s out. That takes time & exercise.
