Never, it’s been years. He vanished without a trace.

Fellas, it’s been 5 straight years… Obviously this didn’t took off as expected and never got made. I understand the shitstorm that happened, but I’ve always wondered what happened to him afterwards. The last thing he did was this as a commission. And that was posted in 2015. Since then no new content has surfaced. I think aybe he moved on with his life, left the fandom. and stopped doing animations entirely. That’s just my guess. It’s quite a mystery indeed..

Thanks for the links. I seriously doubt it’s him. Someone that reuploaded them in his honor, yes. But not him. He’s been inactive for far too long to just show up and suddenly reupload his videos. Unless, as a joke, it’s the ghost of Mister Davey.

I remember an article on Equestria Daily when the videos were removed but I wasn’t aware he had plans to make another video (since it was a few years since Smile HD). I also remember the videos being restored for a short time only to get taken down again.

I’ll definitely miss his animations. I’m sad he’s gone from the fandom, yeah, but it’s not effecting me to the point of hostility, nor am I that sort of person. I will admit that it would have been nice to have gone an upfront notice from him about the strikes in some form, and a mention of him leaving the fandom instead of just going “poof”. But again, I’m not against him for not doing so. I still appreciate the work he did and his legacy will live on. And I wish him the best in whatever he does in the future. And his videos are still available through other channels, thankfully, so people can still watch his work and be inspired by it.
 
Who knows. We might even get an animation by a fan inspired by him.

Wow, really? I didn’t know his videos got removed, I can’t say I’m surprised about the pansy screechers though.
 
Man that sucks his stuff was awesome, was one of the first animators I saw when looking into the fandom, I was happy to see the fandom had a gritty side as well and it wasn’t all cute stuff (I like cute stuff but sometimes it gets annoying). Gonna miss this guys stuff.

Yeah, if you go look up his Youtube channel (of the same name) you can see that all of his videos regarding ponies are gone. And by checking them out you will see that Hasbro copyrights struck them. Then move on to the comment section of his only remaining video or the discussion page of his channel and witness the flames from countless buttburt basement dwellers shouting insult and death threat at the man.

Took way too long for that mediocre fanfic to die in popularity, imho. Same thing with cupcakes. It was mid to late 2014 before I stopped seeing references and art for them.

Wow, guess you’ve just got it all figured out. You know exactly what he’s thinking (anywhere I can read where he said he was feeling down?) Also JanAnimations, Ask Molestia, Fighting is Magic and several other creators with POSITIVE reception were also C&D’d. Gonna blame the bronies for that too?
 
Here’s my take, it’s a shot in the dark just like yours. Davey was C&D’d for the same reason as above, and thus can’t or won’t make Rainbow Factory (either because if he did he faces legal consequences or he’s not going to bother because it’ll just get taken down anyway.)

Looks like Davey isn’t having the best time of his life what’s with all his videos being taken down and sissy man child bronies reporting and spamming all over the place about his “heinous” videos in hopes of getting him fired so he feels miserable for his “deeds” ever since he posted that he works in an animation studio (possibly even the one that produces MLP).

Is this ever gonna be finished? Cause it’d be a damn shame if it didn’t. Loved davey’s cupcakes and smile animations.
